Adult ADHD assessment
We are GPs trained and experienced in adult ADHD, supported by an experienced consultant psychiatrist. A 60 minute assessment, in person at Westfield London or by video.
Trained in adult ADHD | Psychiatrist-mentored | Works with your NHS GP
- A doctor every time
- The same fee, whatever the outcome
- Open seven days a week
How it works
Your questionnaires
All online, so nothing to print or post: a detailed questionnaire for you, and two shorter ones for someone who knows you well now and someone who knew you well as a child or teenager, such as a parent or older sibling.
Your assessment
60 minutes with us, by video or in person, to tell us your story in your own words. Bring anything that helps, such as school reports or letters from other doctors.
Your report and your plan
A written report with your diagnosis and the reasoning behind it, and a letter to your NHS GP. If treatment is right for you, we plan it with you.
What your assessment includes
So your diagnosis rests on a careful look at the whole of you, not one conversation:
A detailed questionnaire for you, about 30 to 40 minutes, built on the DIVA-5 diagnostic interview and NICE guidance (NG87): your adult and childhood experiences, mood, sleep and safety.
A shorter questionnaire, about 10 minutes, for someone who knows you well now.
Another, about 10 minutes, for someone who knew you well as a child or teenager.
With your consent, a review of your NHS records.
60 minutes with us, by video or in person: time to tell us your whole story and what lies behind your answers, and to decide together what happens next. Bring anything that helps, such as school reports.
Screening for conditions that overlap with ADHD or can look like it, such as anxiety, low mood and autism.
A written report with your diagnosis, the reasoning behind it and your plan, and a letter with your diagnosis to your NHS GP.
The questionnaires are all online, so there is nothing to print or post, and everything here is included in the £495. The fee is the same whatever the outcome. If it isn't ADHD, we tell you and explain what may be going on instead.
Who looks after you
We are GPs who assess and treat adult ADHD ourselves. We have completed CPD-accredited training in adult ADHD and we keep learning, because that is what NICE and the Royal College of GPs expect of any doctor doing this work.
We are also mentored by an experienced consultant psychiatrist who specialises in adult ADHD and autism. We talk cases through with him, learn from him, and refer to him when someone needs specialist care, such as possible autism or a complex mental health picture. So you see a doctor who knows you, with a specialist behind us when it matters.
What it costs
The assessment fee is the same whatever the outcome, and you always see the cost before you pay.
Assessment: £495
Everything above, including your written report.
Already diagnosed: £120
A transfer consultation instead of a new assessment, if you were diagnosed elsewhere.
Reviews: £79
Only once you are on treatment: about 15 minutes with us, starting after your first month of medication.
Your medication
If treatment is right for you, we can dispense your medication ourselves: handed to you at Westfield, or posted to your door, with no second stop at a pharmacy.
A month's supply costs from £20.99 to £114.99 a pack, depending on the medicine and the dose. Some doses need more than one pack, and you always see the price before you pay.
If you would rather take a prescription to another pharmacy, the prescription costs nothing extra.
Your reviews
Once you are on treatment, we review you every month, by video or in person, £79 each: how you are getting on, any change of dose, and your next month's medication.
Prescriptions are always for one month at a time, because the rules on controlled medicines limit each supply.
Questions, answered.
