Coming soon at our clinic. The copper coil is hormone-free contraception that works the moment it is fitted and lasts 5 to 10 years. It is also the most effective emergency contraception if fitted within five days. It is fitted by a doctor at a face-to-face appointment, so it cannot be ordered online. Dr Ferhat Uddin, our women's health lead, will fit it.
