The PCV medical for bus and coach drivers, completed to the DVLA Group 2 standard by a registered GP in a 30-minute appointment.

What's involved
A PCV medical is the DVLA Group 2 standard, the same examination as a D4. The doctor checks your vision on the Snellen chart, your blood pressure, a urine dipstick, and your heart, chest, nervous system and general fitness, then completes and signs your D4 form.
Good to know
You do not need your own GP for this, and full records are not required, though a GP summary helps if your history is complex.

What to bring
Bring photo ID, your glasses or lenses if you wear them, a list of your medicines, and a GP summary if your history is involved.
Pricing
£180 for a 30-minute appointment and certificate. Any bloods, ECG or drug screening are an additional charge, confirmed with you at the consultation before anything is sent. You pay after your consultation in person; video and phone consultations are paid at booking.
