Expedition and high-altitude medical.

A fitness assessment for trekking, expeditions and high-altitude travel, with advice on altitude illness.

Insurance, legal and specialist

  • A doctor every time
  • Today, every day.

What's involved

The doctor assesses your heart, chest and general fitness for the demands of an expedition or high-altitude travel, checks for conditions that hypoxia can worsen, and advises on preventing altitude sickness, including whether a preventive medicine such as acetazolamide is appropriate. Any form your expedition provider requires is completed.

Good to know

Tell the doctor your itinerary, the altitude and the conditions, so the assessment and advice fit your trip. Bring your provider's form if there is one.
