What's involved
The doctor assesses the areas that matter underwater: your heart and circulation, your lungs and any history of asthma or a collapsed lung, your ears and ability to equalise, your nervous system and any seizure history, and how you cope in enclosed spaces. The RSTC or PADI medical form is completed at the appointment.
Good to know
This is the medical for recreational diving. Commercial diving needs an HSE-approved doctor, which is a different service we do not provide. Some conditions, such as insulin-treated diabetes or a heart valve issue, may need a specialist dive medicine opinion, which the doctor will arrange rather than sign off alone.

£180 for a 30-minute appointment and certificate. Any bloods, ECG or drug screening are an additional charge, confirmed with you at the consultation before anything is sent. You pay after your consultation in person; video and phone consultations are paid at booking.
