What's involved

A Fiji visa medical generally involves the following. This reflects Fiji's current requirements as far as we know today.

  • Examination: General physical exam; heart, lungs, kidney and liver function; screening for diabetes and hypertension

  • Bloods: HIV and other STI testing; general bloods implied by organ-function assessment. Additional charge, confirmed at consultation.

  • Chest X-ray: For TB screening. Referred to our imaging partner; additional charge.

  • The report: Completed on the destination's own form, an embassy template, or a covering report we draft, with all signatures and stamps included.

  • Requirements and forms are your responsibility. Visa medical requirements change and embassies do not always announce it, so you must check the current requirements directly with the Fiji embassy or High Commission in London, obtain the correct forms, and satisfy yourself that you have exactly what your application needs. We will help wherever we can, but confirming what Fiji requires is yours to do.

  • Form refers generically to 'the Medical Examiner' with no panel restriction, so a UK GP appears able to complete it, but overseas lodgement acceptance is not explicitly stated; confirm with Fiji Immigration or the sponsor.

Book a Fiji Immigration Medical Report with your GP. Bring two passport photos (signed on the back) and your passport. The GP completes the exam and organ-function screen and arranges HIV/STI bloods and a chest X-ray; all dated within 3 months of submission.
