Gulf / GCC
- A doctor every time
- Today, every day.
What's involved
An Oman visa medical usually involves the following, based on Oman visa medical's current requirements as we understand them today.
Examination: Physical exam, blood pressure, height/weight, vision
Bloods: HIV, syphilis, Hepatitis B and C. Additional charge, confirmed at consultation.
Chest X-ray: For TB screening. Referred to our imaging partner; additional charge.
Other tests: Urinalysis, pregnancy test where applicable
Vaccinations: Yellow fever proof only if arriving from a WHO-designated risk country. We do not provide yellow fever vaccination; please arrange it separately.
The report: Completed on the destination's own form, an embassy template, or a covering report we draft, with all signatures and stamps included.
Good to know
Requirements and forms are your responsibility. Visa medical requirements change and embassies do not always announce it, so you must check the current requirements directly with the Oman embassy or High Commission in London, obtain the correct forms, and satisfy yourself that you have exactly what your application needs. We will help wherever we can, but confirming what Oman requires is yours to do.
Part of this process may need to be completed in the destination country; we complete the UK part.
Most employment visas for Oman do not need a UK medical before you travel; the medical is usually done after arrival. Some sponsors ask for one, so check with yours before you book.

What to bring
Confirm with the sponsor/employer or Royal Oman Police exactly what pre-departure documentation is required before booking, since Oman's government Medical Fitness Certificate for the Resident Card is completed in Oman after arrival (30 to 40 Omani Rial), not by a UK doctor beforehand.
The official form
There is no official form we can reliably link for Oman. We draft the doctor's certificate to the format your Oman embassy or High Commission in London, or your sponsor, specifies. If they give you a blank form, bring it and we complete it.
