  • A doctor every time
  • Today, every day.

What's involved

A Palau visa medical generally involves the following, based on Palau's current requirements as we understand them today.

  • Examination: Pre-arrival: general health certificate confirming absence of communicable disease. Post-arrival (mandatory regardless): physical exam at Belau National Hospital under the Bureau of Public Health

  • Vaccinations: COVID-19 requirement removed for visitors (Apr 2023); not otherwise specified

  • The report: Completed on the destination's own form, an embassy template, or a covering report we draft, with all signatures and stamps included.

Good to know

  • Requirements and forms are your responsibility. Visa medical requirements change and embassies do not always announce it, so you must check the current requirements directly with the Palau embassy or High Commission in London, obtain the correct forms, and satisfy yourself that you have exactly what your application needs. We will help wherever we can, but confirming what Palau requires is yours to do.

  • Part of this process may need to be completed in the destination country; we complete the UK part.

  • In-country re-exam means the UK appointment does not remove the local medical; set patient expectations accordingly.

What to bring

A UK GP can issue the pre-arrival health certificate (in English) confirming no communicable disease, to support the application. But the worker must still attend a physical exam at Belau National Hospital, Koror within 10 days of arrival (~45-50 USD), regardless of the UK certificate, so it is only a partial substitute.

The official form

There is no official form we can reliably link for Palau. We draft the doctor's certificate to the format your Palau embassy or High Commission in London, or your sponsor, specifies. If they give you a blank form, bring it and we complete it.
