A doctor-issued medical report for your Qatar visa, completed by a registered GP. It is a 30-minute appointment at £180. Any tests your destination requires are arranged at your consultation.
Gulf / GCC
A Qatar visa medical generally involves the following, based on Qatar's current requirements as we understand them today.
Examination: Physical exam, blood pressure, vision, height/weight
Bloods: HIV, Hepatitis B and C, syphilis (RPR), full blood count, creatinine. Additional charge, confirmed at consultation.
Chest X-ray: For TB screening. Referred to our imaging partner; additional charge.
Other tests: Urinalysis, pregnancy test for women of childbearing age, TB Quantiferon/PPD and FIT test on the official form
Vaccinations: Hepatitis B status recorded on the official certificate; no separate mandatory vaccine for a standard work visa
The report: Completed on the destination's own form, an embassy template, or a covering report we draft, with all signatures and stamps included.
Requirements and forms are your responsibility. Visa medical requirements change and embassies do not always announce it, so you must check the current requirements directly with the Qatar embassy or High Commission in London, obtain the correct forms, and satisfy yourself that you have exactly what your application needs. We will help wherever we can, but confirming what Qatar requires is yours to do.
Part of this process may need to be completed in the destination country; we complete the UK part.
KEY FINDING: unlike Bahrain/Kuwait/Oman/Saudi, the operative government medical for a standard Qatar work/residence visa is NOT satisfiable by a UK doctor for UK nationals (the UK sits outside Qatar's Wafid and Qatar Visa Centre lists; UK applicants use the in-Qatar Medical Commission).
| When it's needed | Work Residence Permit / Qatar ID (QID); the mandatory government medical for UK nationals is a post-arrival step in Qatar, NOT a pre-departure UK exam. A UK medical is only used where a specific employer/scheme requires it (e.g. QatarEnergy) or to support attestation |
| Examination | Physical exam, blood pressure, vision, height/weight |
| Bloods | HIV, Hepatitis B and C, syphilis (RPR), full blood count, creatinine |
| Chest X-ray | Yes (TB) |
| Vaccinations | Hepatitis B status recorded on the official certificate; no separate mandatory vaccine for a standard work visa |
| How long it's valid | Not clearly stated for the pre-departure route |
| Turnaround | 3 to 5 working days for the UK pre-departure route; in-Qatar results within ~3 business days |
| Official form | QatarEnergy Medical Examination Form (employer-specific pre-departure route); Medical Fitness Certificate (official Qatar MoPH form completed in Qatar) |
Based on Qatar's published requirements. Confirm the current form applies to your visa category before booking.
Establish with the employer/sponsor which route applies BEFORE booking: for a standard Qatar Work Residence Permit the mandatory medical happens in Qatar after arrival and a UK exam will not substitute. Only book the UK route if the employer specifically requires it.
There is no official form we can reliably link for Qatar. We draft the doctor's certificate to the format your Qatar embassy or High Commission in London, or your sponsor, specifies. If they give you a blank form, bring it and we complete it.
