East Asia
- A doctor every time
- Today, every day.
What's involved
A Taiwan visa medical generally involves the following, based on Taiwan's current requirements as we understand them today.
Examination: Physical exam; Hansen's disease (leprosy) screening
Bloods: Serological test for syphilis. Additional charge, confirmed at consultation.
Chest X-ray: For TB screening. Referred to our imaging partner; additional charge.
Other tests: Stool examination for parasites
Vaccinations: Measles and rubella antibody proof or vaccination record
The report: Completed on the destination's own form, an embassy template, or a covering report we draft, with all signatures and stamps included.
Good to know
Requirements and forms are your responsibility. Visa medical requirements change and embassies do not always announce it, so you must check the current requirements directly with the Taiwan embassy or High Commission in London, obtain the correct forms, and satisfy yourself that you have exactly what your application needs. We will help wherever we can, but confirming what Taiwan requires is yours to do.
Most white-collar residence permit (ARC) holders are exempt.

What to bring
A UK doctor's report is explicitly acceptable: 'a health examination report signed by a physician in the last three months by a qualified medical institution in the country of the foreigner', with Chinese translation, verified by the Taipei Representative Office in the UK. Confirm the exact employment category first.
The official form
There is no official form we can reliably link for Taiwan. We draft the doctor's certificate to the format your Taiwan embassy or High Commission in London, or your sponsor, specifies. If they give you a blank form, bring it and we complete it.
