Wondering what this means for you? We can help. Talk to a doctor about ADHD.

Anyone already diagnosed with ADHD, privately or on the NHS, can move their care to a new clinic. Bring your diagnostic report, your titration record, a letter with your current dose and your latest review. Your first appointment is a transfer consultation: we go through your care so far, check your records and agree a plan with you. If your records meet the standard, you do not need a new assessment.

What to bring

The more of these you have, the smoother the move. A letter in another language is fine.

  • Your diagnostic report, from whoever assessed you.

  • Your titration record: the doses you tried and how you got on.

  • A letter or recent prescription showing your current dose.

  • Your latest review, if you have had one.

  • Photo ID.

Moving to London as a student

Register with a GP near your term-time address as soon as you arrive. That is your NHS GP while you are here, whoever looks after your ADHD.

Then book a transfer consultation before you run out, ideally in your first few weeks. Going home for the holidays? Tell us and we plan around your dates.

If your GP has refused shared care

Shared care is a voluntary agreement, so a GP practice can say no. You can ask again with your specialist's letter, use Right to Choose, or keep your care going privately with us. Read more about shared care and what to do if your GP refuses.

If your old clinic has closed, or you want to leave a subscription

Ask your old clinic for copies of your records; you are entitled to them. Bring whatever you can get, and we will tell you if anything else is needed.

With us there is no subscription. Nothing renews on its own and there is nothing to cancel.

What it costs with us

A transfer consultation is £120, by video or in person at Westfield London. After that, reviews are £79: monthly while we find the right dose, then every 3 months once you are settled. Between reviews there is a short online check, read by a GP, before each month's supply, and it costs nothing.

Your medication is priced separately. If treatment is right for you, we dispense it ourselves, handed to you at Westfield or posted to your door. If you would rather use another pharmacy, the prescription costs nothing extra.

What we cannot promise

We continue your care where your records meet the standard we need. The prescriber decides what is right for you, which can mean a different dose, a different medicine or a fuller assessment.

We cannot promise that an NHS GP will take over your prescribing. That is for your GP practice to decide.

Questions, answered.
