What you need to know
Relief of menopausal symptoms including hot flushes, night sweats, mood changes, difficulty sleeping, and joint aches. Also helps protect against osteoporosis. Elleste Duet is a sequential preparation - it produces a regular monthly withdrawal bleed, making it suitable for women in perimenopause.
Elleste Duet contains estradiol (oestrogen) for the first 16 days of each cycle, then estradiol combined with norethisterone (a progestogen) for the remaining 12 days. The progestogen phase protects the womb lining from thickening. You will have a withdrawal bleed at the end of each cycle, similar to a period.
Women in perimenopause or early menopause who are still having periods or have only recently stopped. Suitable for women who prefer a tablet over patches or gels. The 1mg strength is usually the starting dose; 2mg if symptoms are not adequately controlled. Not suitable for women more than 12 months post-menopause (consider continuous combined HRT instead).
Order online and we review your request. A prescriber checks your consultation form for clinical appropriateness and contacts you if anything else is needed. Once approved, your medication is dispensed and delivered to your door.
