In brief…
Women produce testosterone too, and levels fall with age and after surgical menopause. Replacing it can help distressing low sexual desire (HSDD) when HRT alone has not. It is given through the skin, kept within the normal female range, and monitored with blood tests. We use AndroFeme, which is licensed for women, or a small dose of a men's gel used off-label.
