Ondansetron (Zofran) is a highly effective anti-emetic originally developed for chemotherapy-induced nausea but now widely used for nausea and vomiting from all causes. It’s fast-acting, well-tolerated, and doesn’t cause the drowsiness or movement side effects of older anti-sickness drugs. Available as tablets, orodispersible wafers and injection.

Safety information
Driving & machinery
Metoclopramide, cyclizine, prochlorperazine: may cause drowsiness. Do not drive if affected. Ondansetron: unlikely to affect driving.
Age restriction
Metoclopramide: adults and young people over 15 (max 5 days). Domperidone: adults and adolescents over 35kg. Ondansetron: from age 6 months. Cyclizine: from age 6.
Storage
Store below 25°C in a dry place. Keep out of reach and sight of children. Do not use after the expiry date.
