Long-term weight management. Wegovy is designed for adults with a BMI of 30 or above, or 27 and above with at least one weight-related health condition such as high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes or high cholesterol.

Semaglutide mimics a natural gut hormone called GLP-1. It slows down how quickly your stomach empties, helps you feel full sooner and quiets the ‘food noise’ - those persistent thoughts about eating that make weight loss so difficult. You inject it once a week, starting on a low dose and building up gradually.

Adults with obesity or who are overweight with a weight-related health condition. Your doctor will check your medical history, current medications and overall health to make sure it’s right for you.

Very common: nausea, diarrhoea, constipation, vomiting (usually most pronounced during dose escalation and improve with time). Contraindicated in pregnancy and breastfeeding. Discontinue at least 2 months before planned conception (GLP-1 agonists). Ensure effective contraception during treatment.
